This dog is staring into my soul. I’m pretty sure he’s the only one in the world who gets me—you know, really truly gets me—and he’s never even met me. Do dogs meet people? Sure they do. God, this dog just wants to listen to me, doesn’t he? He just wants me to pour out today’s troubles into a tiny bowl and let him lap it up.
